Melissa is passionate about teaching others how to use naloxone, also known as Narcan. As a Health Program Coordinator, she believes in always carrying naloxone because administering it can reverse an overdose and, in turn, save a life. "When they're having that opportunity to still be breathing and living, they still may have recovery just ahead of them," Melissa says. Even if you don't know someone with a substance use disorder (SUD), overdoses can happen at even the most unexpected times, and being prepared can make a meaningful difference.
